Despite the hot temperatures and high humidity it was a most enjoyable morning. What fun to see the sand barrens. It was quite interesting to note the difference between the area Nate had burned and that which had not yet been burned. So many discoveries. There are high hopes that our own Badger Barrens will look as beautiful and varied once it takes hold. The barrens which turned to fenn and then culminating in the clear stream was quite the adventure for a group of nature lovers.
